Effective 21 September 2026
The short version. CallVerify helps you judge whether a call is really from who it says. It is a helpful signal, not a guarantee. Use it alongside your own judgement, use it lawfully, and you can delete your account whenever you like.
These terms are an agreement between you and Aarush Sharma, the operator of CallVerify ("CallVerify", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use CallVerify.
When one CallVerify user phones another from the app, the two phones exchange signed messages in the background to confirm that each phone holds the security key registered to its number. The app then shows one of three results: Verified, Not verified or Couldn't check. The call itself is an ordinary phone call placed through your mobile carrier. CallVerify does not carry, hear, record or store call audio.
Never share passwords, one-time codes, or send money based only on what CallVerify shows. If something feels wrong, hang up and call back on a number you trust.
Do not use CallVerify to break the law, to harass anyone, to register numbers you do not control, to interfere with the service, to probe or attack our systems, or to send automated or bulk requests. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.
If you allow contacts access, the app sends your contacts' phone numbers (never their names) to our server to check which of them use CallVerify. The numbers are not stored. You are responsible for having the right to use the contact details on your phone in this way.
We work hard to make CallVerify reliable, but we provide it without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. Mobile networks, notification services and phone operating systems are outside our control and can delay or prevent a check.
To the fullest extent the law allows, CallVerify is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a result shown by the app, including losses from fraud or impersonation by third parties. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use CallVerify means you accept it. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and do not limit consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
